AI Engineer - Immediate Start

S3 Capital, a real estate lending and investment firm that has originated over $8.5 billion in loans, is hiring an AI Engineer to help implement AI-driven infrastructure and tools across the company from the ground-up.

This role is intended for an entrepreneurial-minded engineer who wants hands-on experience building practical data and automation solutions in a real business environment. You will work closely with S3 Capital's senior leadership, who will help identify opportunities, set priorities, and drive the overall AI strategy.

Your role would focus heavily on implementation, experimentation, and turning ideas into working tools. The role is 5 days/week in office.

What you’ll do

• Build internal AI, automation, data analytics, and general software tools
• Implement solutions based on priorities set by firm leadership and technical/business stakeholders
• Help prototype, test, and improve AI workflows across the company
• Work with data, documents, internal processes, and business teams to create practical tools
• Support the firm’s broader AI initiatives as they develop

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software and AI/ML tool development
• Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Hands-on experience with AI/LLMs, agentic coding tools, Python, APIs, major cloud provider e.g. AWS or Azure
• Comfortable learning quickly and working in a fast-moving environment
• Entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and willing to own implementation work
• Based in or willing to relocate to the New York City metro area
