- Our Dublin based client are looking for a Lead Engineer, AI to join their team on a permanent basis
- For this role they are looking for an individual who has experience in AI as it's a major part of the role and journey this company are on
- You will be part of a growing team and be the subject matter expert for AI Development in Dublin
- The position is with a well established company who are a market leader in their sector.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the AI architecture and standards
- Lead on the overall AI strategy, roadmap
- Research the relevant AI tools to solve specific business problems
- Lead on the proof-of-concept (PoC) trials for new technologies and manage relationships with AI vendors and consultants.
- Design and deliver AI, automation, and data solutions across various departments in the company.
- Cross collaboration and engagement is a key skill here
- Integrate AI capabilities into ERP, APIs, and enterprise platforms
- Establish ethical, secure, and GDPR‑compliant AI guardrails
- Leadership in a hands-on and highly technical role
- Manage and mentor a team and help to hire
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development or architecture experience, with at least 3-4 years in senior or management level roles
- Have significant experience architecting and building enterprise-wide cloud-native solutions.
- Programming skills and a background in Python
- Ideally have exposure to projects for Digital Transformation
- Gen AI and Intelligent systems that include LLM, RAG and Agentic AIHands on experience with Gen AI systems would be an advantage
- Excellent understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and SDLC methodologies.
- Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud ecosystems.
- Understanding of data governance, security architecture, and compliance in cloud environments.
