Agentic AI Application Developer

A financial institution in Hong Kong seeks a Agentic AI Application Developer to supports company's strategic AI initiatives by designing, developing and deliver production-ready AI applications.

This role focuses on building practical, production-ready AI solutions, either by enhancing existing business applications with AI capabilities or by developing new AI-driven applications and agent-based systems.

Key responsibilities

As a Agentic AI Application Developer, you will build and deliver AI-driven solutions end-to-end, translating requirements into secure, high-performing applications.

• Design, develop, and integrate AI-powered features and agentic applications into enterprise systems to support business functions
• Assemble AI solutions using models, frameworks, APIs, and enterprise platforms to deliver end-to-end applications
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, application-level AI solutions
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable AI applications with strong focus on performance, security, and compliance
• Monitor, optimise, and iterate solutions while staying current with AI advancements and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and user experience

Candidate profile

To excel in this role, you bring software development experience, strong AI, Python and API skills, bilingual ability, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in software or AI application development within regulated environments (financial services preferred)
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies, including LLMs, NLP, or applied machine learning
• Understanding of financial markets, investment workflows, or regulatory and compliance processes

Technical skills

• Strong Python programming with experience integrating APIs and enterprise/cloud services
• Hands-on experience with LLM applications (RAG, agents), prompt engineering, and AI workflows
• Familiarity with AI agents, orchestration logic, and tool-based reasoning
• Strong communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders
• Ability to translate business needs into user-focused, functional applications

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese; conversational Mandarin required
