The Opportunity

Dawn Health is a leading Digital Health product company that empowers Life Science companies to create elegantly designed digital solutions quickly and in compliance with the highest quality and reliability standards. We are looking for a AI/ML Engineer to join our team in Copenhagen.

You'll join our core platform team shipping features into live regulated products, working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, clinicians, product managers, and designers. If you want your work to reach real patients - this is the role.

Role Overview and

Responsibilities

• Design and ship AI-powered features
• RAG pipelines, conversational interfaces, AI-assisted data interpretation.
• Own end-to-end AI pipelines: prompt engineering, orchestration, output evaluation, and production monitoring.
• Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data; define data requirements as part of AI feature design.
• Design evaluation frameworks and run automated benchmarks using standard metrics
• Build AI systems with clear architecture - clean input/output contracts, REST APIsContribute to AI verification & validation (V&V) documentation and compliance activities within our ISO 13485 / SaMD compatible environment.
• Identify and communicate AI/ML-related product and compliance risks; provide SME input to support decision-making.

• What Success Looks Like (6-12 Months)
• You have independently owned and shipped a RAG pipeline or LLM-powered feature that is actively used across one or more Dawn Health products.
• Your observability and benchmarking setup gives the team real visibility into model performance in production, and you are driving iterative improvements based on the data.
• Leveraging established Dawn Health templates and AI-augmented workflows to improve efficiency and impact.
• Clients and cross-functional teams view you as a trusted, proactive partner.

About You

3-5 years of ML/AI engineering experience, with at least 1-2 years working with AI/ML systems in production.

• Strong Python; hands-on with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and RAG patterns.
• Familiarity with Lang
• Chain/Lang
• Graph, Llama
• Index, or equivalent.MLOps fluency: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure Pipeline) and observability tools (e.g. Lang
• Fuse / Lang
• Smith).

Solid ML fundamentals: supervised/unsupervised/RL, model evaluation, interpretability, and bias mitigation.

Familiar with regulated environments: EU AI Act, ISO 27001, OWASP GenAI Top 10, and pharma-specific processes.

Relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, ML, or equivalent practical experience.

Bonus: fine-tuning open-source LLMs, digital biomarkers / PROs, AI agent frameworks, or medical device context.
