Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and skilled Data Scientist to join our Strategic Data Unit (SDU), a specialized data function within the Group to create and manage common data, general algorithms, and data bridges to the LFX Group. You will be dedicated to shaping and managing group-level data, AI/ML algorithms, and data connections to the LFX Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Insight Generation
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to uncover trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical investigations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready presentations.
- Business Problem Solving
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand challenges, define analytical questions, and shape the right data-driven approach.
- Use data to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimization, process improvement, and risk reduction.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure insights are practical, relevant, and aligned with business priorities.
- Predictive Modeling & Machine Learning
- Build, validate, and refine predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and forecasting.
- Evaluate model performance, test assumptions, and improve features to enhance accuracy and business usefulness.
- Support implementation of models into business workflows in collaboration with technical teams when needed.
- Applied AI & Innovation
- Explore and prototype AI use cases, including generative AI and multimodal applications, to improve workflows and decision support.
- Assess emerging tools and methods to identify high-value use cases and validate them through rapid experimentation.
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts and pilots that demonstrate measurable business value.
- Data-Driven Culture
- Champion a data-driven mindset by promoting experimentation, curiosity, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help establish best practices for analytical thinking, insight sharing, and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.4–6 years of experience in data science, applied analytics, or predictive modeling.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for analysis, data manipulation, and modeling.
- Solid understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, machine learning methods, and experimental design.
- Experience building and validating models using tools such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, or Tensor
- Flow.
- Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence stakeholders with data-backed recommendations.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Exposure to generative AI, multimodal models, or LangChain is an advantage.
