Our client, a global financial institution, are actively seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platforms that support secure, resilient, and scalable applications.
You will work closely with engineering, security, and operations teams to implement infrastructure automation, continuous delivery support, and observability, ensuring production stability in a regulated financial environment.
The role
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure in line with security and governance requirements.
- Build and maintain automated infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and release processes for cloud-hosted applications.
- Configure and manage networking, identity access, and security controls (e.g., IAM, encryption, private connectivity).
- Ensure reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident/problem management.
- Implement cost optimization and capacity planning.
- Maintain cloud environments with patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Security/Compliance on policies, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
What you offer
- At least 5+ years of relevant commercial experience, deploying and operating production systems in the cloud.
- Strong proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep).
- Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting ability (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Understanding of networking concepts (VPC/VNet, routing, DNS, load balancing, security groups/firewalls).
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch/Azure Monitor, ELK).
- Solid security fundamentals (IAM, encryption, secrets management, secure API/access patterns).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) preferred.
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
