We’re now looking for a Cyber Security Operations SME who thrives on solving complex security challenges, taking an attacker’s perspective, and strengthening our ability to detect, respond, and recover.
About Global Business Services: Global Business Services (GBS) is Wilhelmsen’s internal service organization, delivering critical IT, digital, Finance, HR, and support services across the global business.GBS plays a key role in enabling Wilhelmsen’s operations—ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and continuously improving.

You’ll play a key role in strengthening our security operations capabilities, combining hands-on technical work with continuous improvement. You will:
Lead and drive security operations (SecOps) deliverables Respond to and manage security incidents end-to-end (detect, analyze, contain, remediate) Perform advanced investigations (threat hunting, forensic analysis, malware analysis) Develop and improve detection rules, dashboards, and automation playbooks Work closely with MSSPs and vendors to review alerts, escalations, and service quality Optimize and operate security tools and monitoring platforms Translate technical findings into clear, business-relevant risk insights Contribute to audits and regulatory compliance (ISO27001, NIS2, DORA) Participate in security projects, exercises, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure we continuously improve our security posture and resilience What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a proactive, curious mindset.A degree in IT, Cyber Security, or similar (or equivalent hands-on experience) Solid experience in security operations, including incident response, threat hunting, digital forensics Practical experience with penetration testing / ethical hacking, applying an attacker mindset Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, PTES Experience working with SOC/MSSP setups and security vendors Scripting or automation skills (e.g. Python, PowerShell) How you’ll work: You’ll collaborate closely with IT teams, business units, and third-party partners across the Wilhelmsen group to ensure alignment and continuous improvement in our cyber capabilities.
This is a non-managerial role, reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, where your influence comes from expertise rather than hierarchy.
