About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead HeyMax's platform marketing and growth in Hong Kong. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the local go-to-market strategy, driving consumer user acquisition, and building HeyMax's brand presence in the market.
This role sits at the intersection of fintech, payments, and consumer loyalty. Our Hong Kong partner ecosystem includes Cathay, Octopus, Watsons, MoneyHero, and Visa, and we are actively expanding across financial services, insurance, and lifestyle.
Your job is to take those commercial foundations and turn them into campaigns that drive real user growth, in a market where consumers are sophisticated, trust is earned slowly, and the bar for a financial product to cut through is high.
This is a high-ownership role that requires someone equally comfortable setting the strategy and executing it themselves. You will own HeyMax's marketing presence in Hong Kong end-to-end, covering consumer acquisition, financial services partner co-marketing, content, and community, and work side by side with the local BD and partnerships team to make it happen.
Experience marketing fintech or financial products to Hong Kong consumers is a strong advantage; you will understand instinctively that in this category, trust and clarity are as important as reach.
Native or near-native Cantonese fluency is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy & GTMDevelop and execute Hey
- Max's go-to-market marketing strategy for Hong Kong across both B2C (consumer acquisition and retention) and B2B (partner and merchant co-marketing).
- Act as the local marketing lead, building Hey
- Max's brand presence across the fintech, payments, loyalty, and consumer platform ecosystem in Hong Kong.
- Identify key market opportunities, consumer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform both local execution and regional marketing strategy.
- Own market-level marketing targets and growth outcomes for Hong Kong, translating strategy into measurable results.
- Partnership Co-Marketing
- Work closely with the local BD and partnerships team to build co-marketing campaigns that activate signed partnerships across financial services, payments, travel, and lifestyle, and convert partner audiences into Hey
- Max users.
- Develop partner-facing marketing collateral, co-branding toolkits, and campaign proposals that make it easy, and compelling, for partners including banks, payment networks, and loyalty programmes to promote Hey
- Max to their own customers.
- Identify and activate KOLs, community channels, and local affinity groups that have genuine credibility with the Hong Kong audience.
- Consumer Growth & Brand
- Plan and execute performance marketing campaigns across Search, Social (Meta, TikTok, Xiaohongshu/Red
- Note), and channels where Hong Kong consumers actually spend their attention.
- Drive user acquisition funnels, conversion optimisation, and lifecycle marketing (push, email, in-app) to grow engagement and reduce churn.
- Own the localisation of content and campaigns, ensuring every HK-facing touchpoint builds consumer trust and reflects local culture, language, and financial behaviour, not just a translation of the regional playbook.
- Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate closely with Singapore HQ teams across product, partnerships, and marketing to deliver localised initiatives and share market insights that shape regional strategy
- Provide honest, on-the-ground feedback on what is resonating with HK consumers and what is not; this is a market that will tell you quickly when something is not working.
- Track and report on HK marketing KPIs, including acquisition costs, conversion rates, and partner campaign performance, to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Who You Are

- Fintech or Financial Services Marketer: You have experience marketing a fintech product, payments platform, loyalty programme, or financial service to Hong Kong consumers.
- You understand that trust is a precondition for adoption in this category, and you know how to build it through messaging, partnerships, and community.
- Market Builder: You have experience launching or growing a consumer platform or digital brand in Hong Kong and understand how to navigate the local ecosystem: what channels work, what messaging lands, and what the city's consumers actually care about.
- Operator with Range: You are as comfortable writing a Cantonese campaign brief as you are presenting acquisition metrics to regional leadership.
- You do not need a team of ten to get things done, and you do not wait to be told what to work on next.
- Partnership-Minded: You understand that in a platform business built on financial services and loyalty partnerships, co-marketing is a core growth channel.
- You know how to build campaigns that create value for both sides.
- Commercially Driven: You are comfortable owning growth targets and connecting your marketing activity directly to business outcomes, not just campaign impressions.
- Cross-Market Collaborator: You are experienced working with regional or global teams and know how to bring local market needs into a broader company strategy without losing what makes the local execution sharp.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of marketing experience, with a strong preference for backgrounds in fintech, payments, banking, loyalty and rewards, or financial services in Hong Kong or APAC.Demonstrated experience marketing financial or fintech products to Hong Kong consumers, where building trust and credibility is as important as building awareness.
- Proven track record in both B2C growth marketing and B2B or partner co-marketing, ideally involving financial services institutions, payment networks, or loyalty programmes.
- Strong understanding of the Hong Kong market, including local consumer behaviour around financial products, digital channels, and the competitive fintech and payments landscape.
- Experience working closely with commercial and partnerships teams to build and activate co-marketing programmes.
- Comfortable with marketing analytics tools such as GA4, Mixpanel, HubSpot, or equivalent, and confident using data to make decisions.
- Native or near-native Cantonese (spoken) and Traditional Chinese (written) required.
- Strong communication skills in English to work effectively with Singapore HQ and regional teams.
