Role Overview
My client is seeking a User Growth Manager / Senior Manager to lead user acquisition, activation, and retention for its stock trading platform. This is a hands-on individual contributor role within a lean team, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can independently design and execute growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will leverage the existing ecosystem and user base to accelerate trading adoption through digital engagement strategies, lifecycle marketing, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- User Growth & Acquisition
- Develop and execute growth strategies to drive new user acquisition and account activation for the stock trading platform
- Leverage internal ecosystem (wallet and financial services users) to drive cross-sell and conversion
- Optimize onboarding funnels to improve first trade conversion rates
- Lifecycle & Engagement Marketing
- Design and manage user lifecycle journeys (onboarding, activation, retention, reactivation)
- Drive user engagement through digital touchpoints including: Push notifications
- In-app messaging
- Promotional campaigns and trading incentives (e.g. coupons, fee waivers)
- Implement segmentation strategies for personalized targeting
- Campaign & Promotion Strategy
- Plan and execute growth campaigns, promotions, and incentive programs
- Monitor campaign effectiveness and continuously optimize ROI and cost-per-acquisition
- Collaborate with product, CRM, and marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns
- Data-Driven Optimization
- Track and analyze key growth metrics (e.g. CAC, conversion rates, retention, trading frequency)
- Conduct A/B testing and cohort analysis to refine strategies
- Translate insights into actionable growth initiatives
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with product, analytics, and marketing teams to improve user journeys and growth funnels
- Work closely with tech and CRM teams to implement growth tools and automation
- Operate effectively in a lean setup with high ownership and autonomy
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field5-10+ years of experience in growth, digital marketing, or CRM, ideally within fintech, trading platforms, e-wallets, or digital consumer apps
- Proven track record in driving user growth through digital channels
- Hands-on experience with: Push notification tools / CRM platforms
- Campaign management and promotional mechanics (e.g. coupons, incentives)
- Data analysis and performance optimization
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to derive insights from data
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a lean team structure
- Experience in stock trading, brokerage, or wealth products is highly preferred
