Scratch Financial ("Scratch") – late stage venture-backed fintech in Pasadena, CA. Mission: payment partner for vet practices, helping pet parents access care. Products: Scratch Pay (BNPL & payment plans) and Scratch Checkout (payment processing integrated with vet practice management software).
Position Overview
Own strategy and execution of content across marketing, sales enablement, and partner education. Drive how Scratch earns attention of independent vet practices, moves prospects through funnel, and delivers measurable impact on activated deals and attributed revenue. Balance content strategy and execution. Report to Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own content strategy (SEO, AEO, editorial calendar, content-to-pipeline attribution model)
- Drive performance through content-to-pipeline funnel (audience segmentation, content engagement, pipeline attribution, deal influence)
- Own editorial calendar, ensure consistent SEO-informed content (blog posts, case studies, whitepapers)
- Create sales enablement materials (interactive demos, one-sheeters)
- Manage and produce email content in HubSpot
- Lead social short-form content (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok)
- Own webinar strategy and execution (topic development through follow-up)
- Source and build customer testimonials (quotes, case studies, video testimonials)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, customer success, product, BI, design agency)
Qualifications
- 5+ years content marketing experience with ownership of strategy and execution in B2B (vet, healthcare, or FinTech preferred)
- Direct experience producing content for veterinary or animal health industry strongly preferred
- Proven ability to build content strategy driving measurable outcomes (activated prospects, pipeline influence, attributed revenue)
- Portfolio showing range across marketing content, sales collateral, email copy
- Deep SEO knowledge, growing AEO fluency
- Ability to develop audience understanding through primary research (customer interviews, call reviews, market studies)
- Experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation platform
- Proficiency with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva) for adapting templates
- Experience leveraging AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for ideation, seeding, enhancement
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $110,000 - $130,000
