Position Summary
Due to business growth and high demand within our Branch networks in Personal Banking, we are seeking a results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team for a 12-month period.
This is a critical role focused on the "front end" of the recruitment lifecycle. You will be the engine room of our hiring strategy, identifying and engaging top-tier talent for high-impact roles, including Relationship Managers and Sales-related positions across our branch network.
As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you won't just be waiting for applications to come in; you will be a proactive "hunter." You will leverage multiple job boards, social channels, and networking platforms to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Sourcing: Execute advanced search strategies such as on LinkedIn Recruiter and internal databases.
- Pipeline Building: Proactively identify and engage passive candidates for Relationship Manager and Sales roles within the Retail Banking sector.
- Market Mapping: Conduct competitor mapping to understand the talent landscape and identify where the best banking talent currently resides.
- Initial Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for potential candidates, pitching our brand and the benefits of joining our branch network.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidate suitability, motivation, and cultural fit before handing them over to the Senior Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Talent Acquisition Managers, Hiring Managers and People Team from business to understand the specific needs of different branch locations and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.
Requirements
- University graduate
- Minimum of 2 years solid experience in talent sourcing, ideally for positions in the banking industry
- Knowledge of retail / personal banking and their licensing requirement is an advantage
- Able to work independently
- Proficiency in boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and social media tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage, build rapport, and persuade passive talent.
- Strong ability to manage multiple roles, priorities, and databases
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin)
