As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our data analytics capabilities, supporting digitalisation efforts, and contributing to risk and control assessments.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal auditing and internal controls while working with data-driven insights and interacting with diverse stakeholders across the energy business.

What you will do

• Collaborate with auditors and Group ICS to generate data-driven insights for internal audit and control activities.
• Develop data analytics capabilities by setting up tools, processes, and frameworks for data-driven auditing.
• Promote data utilization across the audit value chain, from risk assessment to audit execution and monitoring.
• Extract, transform, and analyze datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and control weaknesses.
• Create visual dashboards and reports to support both ICS and audit risk assessments, findings, and recommendations.
• Contribute to the automation of testing key financial reporting and IT controls, supporting the continuous control monitoring initiative.
• Design methodologies and tools for data-related audit and ICS processes.
• Build business relationships with stakeholders across Axpo Group while developing your knowledge and business awareness.
• What you bring & who you are:
• Education/Experience:A degree (completed or ongoing) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent.2–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, ideally working in Internal Audit or Internal Controls.

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical skills, including experience in data extraction, cleaning, and visualization.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Databricks, or equivalent tools.
• Knowledge of internal audit, internal controls, risk management, and data governance.
• Understanding of financial or trading applications (preferred but not required).

• Fluent written and spoken English.

Fluent spoken German is a significant advantage.
