Chief Operations Officer

A major mission-led public service organisation is seeking an exceptional Chief Operations Officer to lead large-scale operations, service delivery, governance, transformation and digital enablement across a complex national programme environment.

This is a high-impact executive role for a proven senior leader who can turn strategy into operational excellence, strengthen performance and assurance, and lead large, geographically dispersed teams through change.

The successful candidate will bring:A relevant third-level qualification is essential, and postgraduate qualification is desirable. 7–10 years’ senior management experience Strong experience in complex operations, governance, risk and service delivery A track record of leading large teams, transformation and stakeholder engagement Strong commitment to social inclusion, public value and service excellence Confidence working with Government, oversight bodies and senior stakeholders A data-led, digital-first mindset, with an interest in automation and innovation You will play a central role in shaping the organisation’s next stage of growth, improving operational resilience, and ensuring services remain effective, accountable and future-ready.

Salary: €131,189 – €157,310Contract: Indefinite, subject to continuing Government fundingLocation: Ireland-based, blended working, with regular Dublin travelClosing date: Friday 5th June 2026
