Job Title: Senior Private Account Manager

The job in a nutshell
Drive high-value wine sales and long-term client loyalty by building deep, trusted relationships with a portfolio of high-net-worth private customers. You will act as a commercially focused wine advisor, proactively identifying opportunities to grow revenue and gross profit through tailored cellar strategies, compelling recommendations, and expert guidance across En Primeur, physical stock, and the secondary market.
This role centres on building meaningful client relationships, providing informed wine guidance, and supporting clients in their purchasing decisions, while contributing to the achievement of revenue and GP targets.
You will manage 200–300 active clients, generating £1.5M+ in annual sales and delivering £180,000+ in GP through proactive pipeline development, strategic account growth, and exceptional customer engagement.

External: High-net-worth private clients; Wine producers and partners
What you will do
- Drive wine sales growth by proactively identifying and converting opportunities across your portfolio, increasing both revenue and gross profit contribution
- Own and develop client relationships through frequent, meaningful engagement, positioning yourself as a trusted, first-call advisor on all wine-related purchases
- Build and manage client cellars by making expert, commercially focused recommendations that drive repeat purchasing and long-term value
- Maximise client spend by introducing new categories, fine wine investment opportunities, and exclusive allocations
- Deliver against and exceed sales targets through disciplined pipeline management and consistent closing of high-value transactions
- Lead client engagement activity including tastings, private events, and entertainment, using these platforms to deepen relationships and drive sales
- Promote Berry Bros. & Rudd’s authority through confident storytelling, brand advocacy, and outstanding client experiences
- Provide exceptional after-sales service to reinforce loyalty, repeat business, and client lifetime value
- Respond decisively and professionally to all client communications, maintaining pace in the sales cycle

- Strong track record of high-value sales delivery, ideally in fine wine, luxury goods, or relationship-driven industries
- Demonstrated success in growing revenue within private client portfolios
- Proven ability to influence high-net-worth clients and close significant sales opportunities

Qualifications
