Position Summary
Oversees, directs, and coordinates, in line with AMETEK PMI and NPI frameworks, all activities necessary to successfully execute all approved, assigned programs/projects. Ensures that projects are proactively managed via firm EVMS metrics and regular team/project cadence to include regular report outs.
Ensures programs/projects are executed within the prescribed customer commitment timeframe and in line with all specific contractual requirements (e.g. SPEC/SOW) and approved funding parameters.
Supervisory ResponsibiltiesIs responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of assigned Programs/Projects within AMETEK Rotron, to include projects at Rotron’s Reynosa, Mexico facility. Responsible for providing personnel evaluation input to the Engineering Managers for all Engineering project team members.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies & procedures and applicable laws.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for total cost, performance and schedule execution for NPI programs/projects
- Responsible for EVMS performance for all assigned programs/projects inclusive of maintaining forecasted margins, schedule adherence, technical compliance and overall customer satisfaction.
- Control all aspects of NPI project gate entry and exit criteria for gate reviews as defined in AMETEK Rotron policies.
- Ensure proper risk management is carried out, reported, and mitigated on all relevant programs.
- Ensure the proper escalation of critical issues which may or are affecting program/project performance to Management.
- Utilize PMI program management principles to drive and empower all program/project team members to success.
- Ensure strict compliance to PMI & NPI principals necessary to establish sound program plans.
- Promote and reinforce the principle of continuous process improvement with project team members.
- Proactively ensure that strict scope management is carried out for every assigned NPI program/project.
- Ensure organization is prepared for customer visits regarding program reviews.
- Drive the collection of data and prepares information to meet the requirements of customer visits associated with related issues such as audits, delivery status, reviews, assessments, manufacturing rate readiness reviews and other supporting information.
- Confer with functional management, staff, and customers to provide programmatic advice, set goals for negotiations and resolve problems.
- Ensure all data deliverables are carried out throughout program execution and program life by working with assigned IPT, customer support personnel & the product support manager.
- Perform other duties as directed to accommodate growth and organizational maturity.

- Must demonstrate composure and effective listening skills with staff and customers and be able to apply "thought leadership" necessary to weed out the key program/project needs.
- Must be able to understand the urgency and priorities of situations as they arise and implement appropriate timely response without hesitation.

- Working knowledge of EAR and ITAR compliance.
- Positive attitude and must be able to MANAGE, MOTIVATE and ENERGIZE your matrix staff.
- Must be comfortable multi-tasking and being able to deliver results under pressure and tight deadlines where extensive planning and forethought are not always an option.

Required Skills
- And Abilities
- Three years’ experience in engineering program management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Familiar with earned value measurement techniques, PMI principals and a commanding knowledge of MS Office Suite to include MS Project and Visio.
- Certificate in negotiations, or equivalent, is preferred.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university.,MBA, PMP is a major advantage.
Due to ITAR restrictions, US citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Resident status is required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Must be able to traverse the production floor safely.
- Due to the nature of Rotron's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
