The DivisionThe Charities and Community (C&C) Division manages strategic planning, grant donations, impactful project initiation, community engagement, and the day-to-day operations of the HKJC Charities Trust. C&C works with the Government, NGOs, and community partners to proactively identify root causes of social issues and address them through innovative approaches and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The DepartmentThe job holder is responsible for managing the Trust-initiated Project ("TIP") "JC Project Bonfire", and other Trust-funded projects by performing the strategic portfolio management, overseeing other approved grant initiatives related to the TIP to build synnergy and optimize grant potentials, and initiating, developing, and implementing new initiatives or projects fostering better youth development and poverty alleviation.
Work in partnership with the Incubation Team with member composition from external consultants, programme evaluators, co-creators of the TIP to convene thought leadership and build alignment across all participating Small Group Homes ("SGHs") operating partners to ensure successful delivery of the project.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of the Project's intervention including the management of the new role of Child Development Manager, bridging of social capital, service protocols and Community of Practice across all participating SGHs, research and evaluation of the project and coordinate internal and external stakeholders as required to ensure successful delivery of these interventions.
Perform the strategic portfolio management by overseeing other Trust support strategic Youth initiatives to amplify impact of the TIP and other related grants; consolidate learning insights for sharing with relevant stakeholders on a regular basis, and develop new grants as needed to actualize emerging potentials.
Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery, including but not limited to the Club Branding and Public Affairs in strategic communications and promotional campaigns; external consultants reponsible for branding, technology experts and/or programme execution, and service providers, and engaging government officials to facilitate impact creation and system change.
Develop and implement project governance and controls to ensure effective execution, including managing the advisory committee, the incubation and supporting partners, and various taskforce groups.
Monitor the progress of anticipated output and outcome, budget spending, handle budget virements and manage project evaluation and impact assessment.
Prepare papers and compile statistical/financial/progress report, as well as report on special situation and make recommendations to Management, and/or Donations Committee, and/or Board of Trustees.
Represent the Trust in activities related to the TIP including ceremonies, and related functions as part of the ongoing monitoring process and stakeholder engagements.
