Senior Manager, Startup Programme Management (VC and Acceleration))

The Position

• Provide strategic support to the early stage technology startup programmes including designing and implementing customized strategies, coordinating with mentors and industry partners, and ensuring the smooth programmes execution from selection process to cohort management Drive the success of our startup programmes by manging relationships with portfolio companies and identifying high-potential investment opportunities
• Manage post-investment activities for invested early stage startup, including portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, growth support coordination, portfolio analysis, execution of post-investment actions, preparation of investment reports and updates for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate and execute deal-closing processes including share conversion, investment completion etc. in coordination with legal, finance, and compliance teams to ensure accuracy and timely completion of investment documentation
• Liaise with portfolio companies to facilitate follow-up actions, including funding drawdowns, shareholder communications, and governance matters
• Conduct financial and business analysis to support ongoing portfolio management decisions, follow-on investment assessments, and exit planning
• Support investment team initiatives and perform any other duties as assigned
• The Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or other related disciplines or equivalent; a master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is a plus10 years work experience, preferably in investment analysis, venture capital, startups, corporates or related fields
• Experience with fund operation and compliance is preferred
• Strong understanding of the startup ecosystem and the challenges faced by early-stage companies
• Familiarity with investment processes and portfolio management best practices
• Experience in administering programmes and grants from the Government sources is a plus
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough market research and financial analysis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationship-building with diverse stakeholders
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Mandarin
• Higher education or professional qualifications with less experience will also be considered
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for lower position
