Job Responsibilities
Strategic Alliance & Relationship Management
Drives and manages strategic alliances with global technology partners. working across NTT Group companies to advance jointly defined priorities and long‑term partnership value through the establishment, hosting, and ongoing management of joint alliance programs.
Acts as a central coordination point for complex, multi‑stakeholder alliances, aligning internal stakeholders (NTT Group companies) and external partners at working, executive, and governance levels.
Maintains relationships with alliance partners at a global level, supporting executive engagement, Steering Committees, and Cs‑level touchpoint cadence.
Alliance Governance, Programs & Execution
Facilitates, operates, and continuously improves alliance governance frameworks, including multiple levels of executive meetings, and formulates strategic taskforces to drive meaningful outcomes for the Group.
Translates high‑level alliance strategy into executable initiatives, milestones, and cross‑company action plans in collaboration with NTT operating companies’ business owners.
Ensures alignment of priorities, timelines, and responsibilities across operating companies to avoid duplication, resolve conflicts, and accelerate progress.
Performance Management
Tracks and consolidates alliance performance, value creation, and risks across Group companies.
Provides clear, executive‑ready reporting on progress, issues, dependencies, and decision points to support timely decision‑making.
Market, Partner & Ecosystem Insight
Monitors partner strategy shifts, ecosystem trends, and competitive dynamics.
Facilitates informed discussions with internal stakeholders to support alignment, prioritization, and strategic decision‑making across alliances.
Alliance Operations & Continuous Improvement
Identifies structural or operational gaps in alliance execution.
Facilitates discussions on potential improvements to governance models, engagement approaches, and value realization mechanisms to strengthen alliance effectiveness over time.
Job Requirements
Language & Communication
Fluent in Japanese (JLPT-N1 holder) and English and Chinese, both written and spoken.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at working, senior, and executive levels.
Experience preparing executive‑level materials, updates, and presentations for governance forums and Steering Committees.
Alliance, Program & Project Management
At least 10 years of working experience in either Global IT partner alliance management, partner management, program management, or project management.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi‑stakeholder programs across multiple organizations and regions.
Strong planning, execution, and follow‑through skills, with the ability to translate strategy into action.
Japanese Business Experience & Cultural Understanding
Experience working for or closely with Japanese companies, including engagement with Japan‑based stakeholders.
Strong understanding of Japanese business culture, decision‑making processes, stakeholder hierarchy, and relationship‑driven engagement.
Able to act as a cultural bridge between Japanese stakeholders and global teams.
Interpersonal & Personal Attributes
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence without direct authority.
High level of professionalism, diplomacy, and cultural sensitivity.
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a complex, matrixed environment.
