The BasicsTanium is growing and is searching for a dynamic IT Systems Business Analyst that will play a pivotal role in leading strategic projects that support the company’s objectives. The Business Analyst will leverage their strong analytical skills and experience with IT workflows and systems to partner with our business stakeholders and deliver insightful analysis and recommendations to them.
It will be critical to establish a trusted partnership and build a deep understanding of our stakeholders’ processes and requirements to expose gaps and inefficiencies and drive automation and optimization.
Responsibilities will include the elicitation, analysis and documentation of business requirements, the creation and maintenance of process flow diagrams, the creation and organization of user stories that encapsulate project deliverables and involvement in solution design. Furthermore, the Business Analyst will promote a culture of high visibility and transparency to build and maintain trust with our stakeholders.
This includes maintaining clear and consistent communication with our stakeholders to ensure clear expectations and providing updates on the status of their projects.A key responsibility is to maintain a keen awareness of how projects across different departments interconnect and impact each other.
The Business Analyst must understand the broader IT landscape, including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and how various initiatives—whether in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, GTM, or Human Resources—are interdependent.
This holistic perspective is essential for identifying opportunities for synergy, minimizing duplication, and ensuring that solutions are scalable and aligned with enterprise goals.
The right candidate will have a good understanding of common IT technologies such as the Microsoft technology stack and associated platforms. The candidate should have experience and knowledge with regards to Corporate Data warehousing as well as a strong understanding of corporate data which would include all back-office systems as well as enterprise data warehouses.
Also desired is familiarity with Sales, Marketing, Financial, Procurement, GTM and Human Resources business processes and supporting technologies. Being able to confidently interface and present appropriately abstracted data to all levels of an enterprise organization is paramount to the overall success of this role.
A strong technical and analytical mindset, excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering impactful business solutions is a must. The IT Systems Business Analyst will report to the Manager, Data Engineering and work closely with all areas of our G&A functions.
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
