We are seeking a capable and motivated Frontend Developer who combines strong frontend development capability with a collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences. The Frontend Developer is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the development, optimisation, and continuous improvement of frontend ecommerce experiences across RAG’s digital platforms.
This role is suited to a strong mid-level frontend developer who is self-sufficient, solutions-focused, and capable of producing high-quality work within a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
You will work closely with the Senior Frontend Development & Solution Manager, alongside Ecommerce, UX/UI, Digital Marketing, QA, and backend development teams to deliver responsive, scalable, and customer-focused digital experiences. The role requires someone who enjoys problem solving, continuous improvement, collaboration, and modern frontend development practices.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): Frontend Development & Optimisation Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend ecommerce experiences across RAG’s digital platforms and storefronts.
Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces aligned to UX/UI best practices and brand standards. Support frontend optimisation initiatives focused on performance, responsiveness, usability, and customer experience improvements. Contribute to scalable and maintainable frontend component development and code quality standards.
Support implementation of SEO best practices, structured markup, and frontend optimisation initiatives. Technical Delivery & Collaboration Collaborate on UX/UI with Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, QA, backend developers, and external partners to deliver high-quality digital solutions. Work with GraphQL and REST APIs to support dynamic and data-driven frontend functionality.
Support delivery of frontend enhancements, bug fixes, CRO initiatives, and digital transformation projects. Participate in sprint planning, development estimations, testing, and deployment activities. Troubleshoot and resolve frontend bugs, technical issues, and production incidents in a timely manner.
Development Standards & Continuous Improvement Follow coding standards, security practices, version control processes, and deployment procedures. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement across frontend workflows and development practices. Support improvements to frontend tooling, build processes, deployment workflows, and documentation standards.
Stay informed on frontend technologies, ecommerce trends, accessibility standards, and emerging digital best practices. Contribute positively to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a high-performing team culture. EXPERIENCE: 3-5+ years’ experience in frontend development within ecommerce, retail, or digital product environments.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and modern frontend development practices. Experience working with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Next.js, or similar technologies. Exposure to ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Adobe Commerce (Magento), or headless commerce ecosystems.
Understanding of API integrations including GraphQL and REST APIs. Experience using Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control systems. Exposure to CI/CD workflows and modern frontend build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar. Understanding of frontend performance optimisation, accessibility, and SEO best practices. Exposure to headless commerce or PWA architectures.
Experience with analytics, personalisation, search, or merchandising tools. Familiarity with GA4, GTM, data layers, or frontend tracking implementation. Understanding of cloud hosting, CDN concepts, or frontend deployment workflows. Exposure to CRO, experimentation, or customer experience optimisation initiatives. Strong problem-solving capability with attention to detail and quality outcomes.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment. Strong communication skills with a positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
