Python, SQL and Databricks Engineer:
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive Data Engineer / Analytics Specialist with 3+ years of hands-on experience to design, build and maintain data pipelines, perform advanced analysis, and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources using SQL and scripting languages.
- Perform statistical analysis and build models using Python and/or R.Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Looker, Databricks, or similar) to communicate insights.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency; implement validation and monitoring.
- Troubleshoot data issues, identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Present findings and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work independently as required.
- Required Qualifications &
Skills
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics or related roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms (Power BI, Looker, Databricks, etc.).
- Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application to real-world problems.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
- Desirable
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
