Senior Data Engineer | Dublin (Hybrid)We’re partnering with a leading global technology organisation to hire a Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing, collaborative engineering team working on cutting-edge data and analytics products.

This 12 month contract role offers the opportunity to work across modern data platforms (cloud & on-prem), building scalable solutions that power real-world insights and innovation.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering robust, data-driven products. Working in agile teams, you’ll contribute across the full development lifecycle—from architecture and data modelling to building pipelines and enabling advanced analytics.

• What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead the design and delivery of complex data engineering solutions
• Build and optimise scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms
• Develop data models and processing workflows to support high-performance applications
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and UX teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Contribute to full-stack development, including UI components where required
• Drive best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimisation
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and tooling
• What We’re Looking For5+ years’ experience in data engineering / full-stack engineering
• Strong experience with:
• Python or Scala
• Spark, Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, Airflow, etc.)
• SQLExperience with cloud platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
• Proven track record building data pipelines, analytics solutions or ML-enabled systems at scale
• Exposure to Java / .NET / modern frontend frameworks (React, Typescript) is beneficial
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL, and distributed systems
• Experience leading projects and mentoring team members
• A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
