What you will do
Listed below are the hard-skills that would fit well in our current team setup:
- Curious about working with big data and pipeline architecture; basic understanding of relational database structures
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts in a concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to implement backend services that will be running in AlikeAudience controlled environments or customer environments as managed or self-managed services
- Understand the nature of distributed systems of modern architecture and implement systems that are resilient to service disruptions
- Review codebase and work on continuous improvements in terms of speed and efficiency
- Implement tests and deployments for mostly backend (and very few instances of frontend) systems which you have created
What you will need
In AlikeAudience, we care about you as a person more than your previous experience in a specialised role. We look for candidates based on who they are as a person, and their potential, not their previous achievements. Listed in the following is what we are looking for:
- Willing to put in the effort to learn new concepts and not being afraid of working in an unfamiliar environment
- Ability to write code in Python comfortably and efficiently; knowledge of PySpark will be considered favourably
- Open to working in a small team and ready to take on meaningful work early on in your career
- Good communication skills; ability to explain concepts in understandable English
- A good team player who understands that collaboration can lead to better results than doing everything by oneself
- Self-motivated, responsible and able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
