ABOUT YOU
R ROLEAs a Data Engineer, you will serve as the technical architect and key builder for our APAC Smart Manufacturing roadmap in the operation and supply chain initiatives. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end data pipelines and advanced solutions to optimize Ops and supply chain operations.
You will focus on data collection and integration across various enterprise systems, transforming raw industrial data into structured datasets, and developing robust predictive models and AI-driven solutions to drive operational efficiency and autonomous manufacturing actions.YOUR
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- WILL INCLUDEAct as a technical consultant to the data analytics team in Operations & Supply Chain, ensuring data solutions directly address smart manufacturing roadmap.
- Deeply understand the operational pain points and business requirements of non-technical stakeholders and translate them into robust, technically feasible data architectures and digital solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready machine learning models (including time-series forecasting, regression, classification, and anomaly detection) for high-impact use cases such as predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, and yield optimization.
- Develop and integrate edge-to-cloud computer vision pipelines and applications to automate quality inspections and shop-floor data capturing.
- Design and build robust data pipelines to collect, ingest, and clean raw data from diverse sources (MES, ERP, PLCs). Architect and engineer highly predictive features from noisy, high-dimensional industrial datasets for model training.
- Support and enhance internal AI Agents to deliver advanced manufacturing insights and user support.WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOUBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, machine learning, or applied statistics within an advanced manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on experience with core ML/DL frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensor
- Flow) and advanced time-series analysis libraries.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with a proven track record of designing robust database schemas and building scalable data pipelines.
- Experience with Open
- CV (image processing, geometric filtering) and deploying vision models at the edge.
- Experience with model serialization, containerization (Docker), API development, and optimization for edge or resource-constrained deployments.
- Understanding of Smart Factory standards and systems, including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ERP/Supply Chain databases, and Industrial IoT protocols.
- Ability to work independently with the Data Analytics team to perform root-cause analysis, validate model impact against business KPIs, and communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.AVERY DENNISON IS AN
