Cloud Engineer

Azure Cloud EngineerAs a preferred supplier to one of our biggest financial organisations, I am seeking for an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 12 months+ contract in Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• This role requires a unique balance of technical implementation and advisory mindset—you'll not only build solutions but also partner closely with internal teams to help them translate their needs into robust cloud-native architectures and coach them toward self-sufficiency.A hybrid profile: an engineer and a consultant.
• You write code and infra, but also guide, coach, and challenge teams constructively.
• Focus currently lies more towards consultancy.
• Experience:
• You function well in a small team and can work independently.5+ years in software/cloud engineering, with at least 2 focused on Azure.
• Skilled in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and IaC using Bicep, PowerShell, CLI, or Bash.
• Experienced working with enterprise-level governance models (guard-railed subscriptions).
• Confident navigating security, compliance, and operational best practices in Azure.
• Programming experience in Python; familiarity with APIs and microservices.
