Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of events/weekend nights at a thriving shisha lounge, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences. Duties
Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions
Manage budgets and ensure all activities stay within financial parameters
Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan
Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events
Maintain clear communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Develop detailed timelines and checklists to ensure timely completion of tasks
Handle guest services on the day of the event, addressing any issues promptly and professionally
Organise fundraising activities or charity events as required
Monitor event progress and make adjustments as needed to guarantee success
Requirements
Proven experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within hospitality, restaurant, or hotel sectors
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines and coordinate various stakeholders effectively
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members
Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining excellent guest service standards
Experience in fundraising or managing charitable events is advantageous
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest services best practices
Prior experience in restaurant or hotel environments is desirable but not essential
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting
