Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising, and executing a variety of events/weekend nights at a thriving shisha lounge, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to memorable occasions that meet clients’ expectations and uphold our organisation’s standards.

Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics

  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions

  • Manage budgets and ensure all activities stay within financial parameters

  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan

  • Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events

  • Maintain clear communication with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Develop detailed timelines and checklists to ensure timely completion of tasks

  • Handle guest services on the day of the event, addressing any issues promptly and professionally

  • Organise fundraising activities or charity events as required

  • Monitor event progress and make adjustments as needed to guarantee success

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within hospitality, restaurant, or hotel sectors

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong time management skills to meet tight deadlines and coordinate various stakeholders effectively

  • Exceptional communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members

  • Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining excellent guest service standards

  • Experience in fundraising or managing charitable events is advantageous

  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest services best practices

  • Prior experience in restaurant or hotel environments is desirable but not essential

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
