About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive data-led decision-making for our OTA platform operations. You will turn full-funnel operational data into actionable insights, identifying bottlenecks and growth opportunities to fuel sustainable improvements in traffic, conversion, and GMV.

This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data, business strategy, and product — ideal for someone who is energized by the travel industry and excited to translate numbers into real business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operational Data Analysis
  • Collect, clean, and analyze OTA platform operational data across core dimensions: orders, traffic, conversion, user behavior, and channel performance.

  • Break down the end-to-end operations funnel to uncover the business logic behind the data — identify conversion bottlenecks, surface operational strengths, and deliver clear, actionable insights.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize operational strategy, campaign planning, and channel investment, directly impacting efficiency and core KPIs.

  • Deliver regular reporting cadence — daily, weekly, and monthly reports — plus deep-dive analyses for major campaigns and ad-hoc business needs.

  1. Data Framework Design & Optimization
  • Build and continuously improve the operational data monitoring framework, defining core KPIs and ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

  • Refine analytical models tailored to OTA industry dynamics, enhancing both speed and depth of insight generation.

  • Track industry trends and competitor benchmarks; provide market intelligence to inform strategic decisions.

  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the central data partner for Operations, Product, and Marketing teams — translating ambiguous business questions into structured data answers.

  • Surface user and partner needs (B-side and C-side) to the Product team through data, helping prioritize platform improvements and elevate user experience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data analyst experience in OTA, online travel, hospitality tech, or directly adjacent industries — with proven mastery of OTA operational analytics.

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas) plus expert-level command of at least one of: SQL, Python, or Tableau. You can independently own the full cycle from data extraction → analysis → reporting.

  • Deep familiarity with the OTA operations funnel and core metrics; sharp commercial instincts and strong logical reasoning — able to convert data into recommendations the business can actually act on.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable navigating cross-functional environments and championing data-driven decisions.

  • Genuine passion for the travel industry, high integrity, and a collaborative mindset.

What's Nice to Have

  • Experience working with overseas / Southeast Asia travel markets

  • Exposure to A/B testing frameworks or causal inference methods

  • Prior collaboration with growth, product, or revenue management teams in an OTA context

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
