Primary Responsibilities:
Implement Data Governance policies and standards within the HCP Data Catalog solution to enable CrimsonAI use cases
Design and build AI-enabled automation to streamline governance workflows (e.g., metadata onboarding, approvals, stewardship routing, exception handling)
Configure and operationalize governance controls (data classification, glossary alignment, lineage, ownership, retention, access/usage rules) as embedded platform capabilities
Develop reusable AI components (prompts/templates, validation checks, evaluation criteria, guardrails) to support consistent and compliant AI adoption
Partner with Data Stewards, Product Owners, Engineering, Security, Privacy, and Compliance to translate governance and regulatory requirements into technical solutions
Create and maintain scalable metadata models, business glossary artifacts, and standardized definitions to support CrimsonAI modules and downstream consumers
Build quality and compliance monitoring signals (policy adherence, completeness of metadata, anomaly detection) and enable reporting for governance KPIs
Perform testing and validation of AI-driven governance features to ensure accuracy, explain ability, auditability, and alignment with enterprise standards
Document solution designs, operational runbooks, and support procedures; provide knowledge transfer to sustain ongoing operations
Troubleshoot production issues related to catalog integrations, metadata pipelines, and governance workflow automation; drive root-cause analysis and remediation
Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual governance touchpoints and improve time-to-delivery for CrimsonAI product releases
Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, data engineering, or building data platform capabilities in an enterprise environment
Hands-on experience implementing governance standards within a data catalog and/or metadata management platform (e.g., defining glossary, ownership, classification, lineage, stewardship workflows)
Experience building automation for workflow-driven processes (APIs, scripting, rules engines, orchestration tools) to reduce manual operational effort
Solid understanding of data controls and risk domains: privacy, security, compliance, retention, access management, and auditability
Proficiency with one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL; plus Java/Scala a plus) and experience integrating with APIs/services
Proven ability to translate policy and business requirements into technical designs, measurable controls, and platform features
Proven ability communication skills and proven ability to partner across product, engineering, and governance stakeholders
