Junior Data Analyst, Business Intelligence

Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Data Analyst to join their Business Intelligence team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence within a dynamic corporate environment. The successful candidate will support the BI team in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. You will work closely with senior analysts and various business units to understand their data needs and contribute to the development of reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the collection, extraction, and compilation of data from various sources. Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies. Support the development and maintenance of business intelligence dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Collaborate with senior team members to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions. Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders. Learn and apply new data analysis techniques and tools. Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects. Ensure adherence to data governance policies and best practices. Provide general support to the Business Intelligence department as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Familiarity with data analysis concepts and tools is required, with proficiency in Excel being essential. Experience with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation is a strong asset. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are necessary. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important for effective collaboration and reporting.
