Principal Software Engineer in Calibre D2S

We are looking for a principal software engineer to work in the Calibre D2S division. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing advanced OPC and ILT solutions for semiconductor manufacturing with focuses on computational lithography and geometry, high-performance computing and GPU computing.

As the semiconductor industry continues its rapid growth, there is a critical demand for high-fidelity modeling and high-throughput numerical simulations to support the production of stable, high-volume chips at advanced technology nodes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess the following education and experience:
Education & Background
PhD or MS degree in computer science, applied mathematics, applied physics, or engineering, with around 10 years of software development experience related to
Scientific computing: numerical algorithms and computational geometry.
High-performance computing: GPU acceleration in CUDA platform, parallel and distributed processing.
Software and programming skills: proficiency in C/C++, CUDA, Python, scripts, and debugger and profiling tools in Linux.
Semiconductor knowledge: semiconductor manufacturing and lithography processes.
AI/ML applications: leveraging AI/ML to accelerate problem solving processes.
Key Skills & Attributes
Strong technical leadership in software development, architecture design, mentoring and strategic planning.
Strong and agile problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex computational challenges.
Ability to estimate and plan software development tasks and deliver on schedule.
Open and collaborative team mindset and smooth communication skills.

Locations
The annual target salary range for this position is $135,400 CAD to $$185,400 CAD and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training. Siemens offers health and wellness benefits to employees. This position is for an existing vacancy.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
