Join GovCIO as a key player in our cross-functional team dedicated to enhancing user experiences on VA.gov. We are looking for talented React/Redux Frontend Developers ready to contribute to impactful projects that support veterans. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the Continental United States (CONUS).
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop user interface components utilizing React.js and Redux, integrating with REST/SOAP APIs and existing web services.
Participate actively in system planning and deployment processes, ensuring compliance with software standards and testing protocols.
Manage frontend development workflows, create user guidelines, and perform system analysis to clarify program objectives, specifications, and strategies.
Work collaboratively with a team of developers to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
Mentor team members to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Establish best practices and coding standards to maintain outstanding quality within the team.
Collaborate in gathering user requirements, formulating user stories, and developing project timelines.
Prepare comprehensive documentation for reports, operational procedures, and maintenance manuals.
Lead integration testing efforts to ensure system functionality and performance.
Communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders, addressing project issues in a timely manner.
Analyze system requirements thoroughly, including data flow, input/output specifications, and hardware/software demands to optimize performance.
Engage in code and sprint reviews, ensuring all deliverables align with contractual obligations and project specifications.
Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of relevant experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in React/Redux.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum processes.
In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Experience with AWS cloud hosting environments, unit testing, and end-to-end testing.
Proficient in using code versioning and project management tools like Jira and Git
Hub.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with the VA or other federal agencies, understanding related processes and regulations.
Familiarity with the VA.gov platform and its ecosystem.
Knowledge of government cloud solutions, especially AWS.
Expertise in managing RESTful API services within the VA environment.
Experience with system integrations, particularly CorpDB, MPI, BDN, and/or VBMS systems.
Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust / Suitability security clearance.
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
