About the role
Are you a passionate web developer ready to grow your career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? Auto
Canada is looking for a Junior Front-End Developer to join our in-house digital team and help shape the online presence of 80+ dealership websites across Canada.
What you’ll do:
Website development
Script, and PHP
Utilize AI coding tools such as Claude and Gemini.
Translate design files (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop) into clean front-end code
Ensure brand consistency across all devices and browsers
Content & CMS
Press and other CMS content
Publish promotions, specials, hours, and staff updates
Troubleshoot CMS issues and plugin conflicts
Performance & QA
Speed Insights
Optimize for Core Web Vitals, load time, and mobile-first experience
Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing
Campaigns & collaboration
Build campaign-specific landing pages and micro-sites
Integrate third-party tools, analytics scripts, and marketing pixels
Participate in sprint planning, project briefs, and team check-ins
What we’re looking for
Script, and basic PHP
Query, and front-end frameworks
Press, including themes and plugin management
Ability to work from design files in Figma, Canva, or Photoshop
Understanding of responsive design, UX best practices, and accessibility standards
Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, GA4, and performance tools (Lighthouse, Page
Speed)
Diploma or certification in Web Design, Web Development, or a related field
Up to 2 years of front-end experience, or a strong portfolio and co-op experience welcome
