Key Responsibilities:

• Innovative AI Solutions: Lead a high-performing team in the AI-driven transformation at Coinbase, focusing on scalable AI product development with direct interactions at the executive level, in a fast-paced innovative environment.

• Collaborate with the Coinbase Infrastructure team to enhance existing CI/CD frameworks supporting vital IT services.

• Work closely with security and compliance teams to integrate surveillance tools within deployment pipelines.

• Design automation processes to improve operational IT support workflows.

• Oversee Kubernetes deployment and support.

• Create a technological roadmap according to product requirements.

• Engage in on-call support for the AWS service deployment pipeline.

Ops culture and implement best practices for superior cloud security.

• Establish high standards for technical documentation across IT engineering.

• Contribute to an operational environment with strict SLAs and robust incident response strategies.

• Facilitate incident responses and conduct root cause analyses with a focus on constructive, blameless retrospectives.

• Define metrics and implement automation opportunities derived from monitoring and observability data.

• Maintain and develop integrations with various systems, including source control and build systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to internal tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years in network infrastructure support.

• 10+ years in automating cloud infrastructure.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby, Go).

• Expertise in version control with CI/CD (Git).

• Strong experience with AWS services and CI/CD workflows utilizing Terraform or equivalent.

• Extensive use of configuration management systems like Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt.

• Experience with container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

• Demonstrated ability to leverage and responsibly utilize generative AI tools and maintain a human-in-the-loop approach for workflow improvements.

Bonus Skills:

• Deep understanding of Linux, Bash, Ruby, Python, and Go.

• Experience with automating EC2 or container deployments using Terraform.

• Strong foundation in network security principles.

• Experience managing log aggregation processes.

• Background in regulated environments.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.

• Experience in a hybrid IT environment.

Salary range for this role is $218,025 - $256,500 USD annually, excluding equity and bonus. Total compensation may also include benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
