Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Platform Engineer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to architect, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with over 10 years of experience in cloud engineering, Dev
Ops, and infrastructure automation. You will play a key role in driving platform reliability, scalability, and security across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure on GCP.
Architect and manage platform services including compute, storage, networking, IAM, and monitoring.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation for infrastructure provisioning and application deployment.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure platform reliability and compliance.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and efficiency.
Drive adoption of Dev
Ops and SRE best practices across teams.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering standards and documentation.
Stay current with GCP innovations and recommend improvements to architecture and tooling.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, Dev
Ops, or infrastructure roles.
Deep expertise in GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, GKE, IAM, VPC, and Cloud Monitoring.
Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git
Lab CI, Cloud Build).
Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture principles.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Dev
Ops Engineer certification.
Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
Knowledge of SRE practices and tools (e.g., SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
Experience with logging and observability tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
Background in compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
