Job Title: Cloud Engineer – AWS (MSP)

Shift: Rotational Shifts (24×7 Global Support)

Role Overview

As a Cloud Support Engineer in our Managed Services Practice, you will support and operate multiple customer AWS cloud environments deployed across global regions. This role focuses on infrastructure monitoring, security operations, incident handling, and cost optimization support while working in a 24×7 MSP model.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Operations & Monitoring

• Monitor AWS infrastructure using Prometheus and Grafana for availability, performance, and capacity

• Act on alerts, investigate incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and escalate as per defined SOPs

• Perform shift handovers with proper documentation and status updates

• Perform basic troubleshooting on Linux and Windows systems, including service checks, log analysis, process monitoring

AWS Infrastructure Support

• Provide L1/L2 support for AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Cloud

Watch

• Support routine operational tasks like instance restarts, backups validation, and access checks

• Assist senior engineers during planned maintenance and change activities

Security Operations

• Monitor and analyse security findings from AWS Security Hub, AWS Inspector, and Amazon Guard

Duty

• Support vulnerability remediation activities and track compliance-related issues

• Assist in access reviews, security audits, and incident response activities

Cost Optimization Support

• Support AWS cost optimization initiatives including rightsizing, unused resource identification, and usage analysis

• Assist in preparing cost and usage reports for customers

• Track savings opportunities and support implementation under guidance

Process & Documentation

• Follow MSP-defined processes, SLAs, and escalation models

• Update tickets, runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification (Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect – Associate)

• Exposure to MSP or 24×7 support environments

• Knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
