Our client, a rapidly expanding financial services firm located in the heart of Denver, Colorado, US , is actively seeking a vigilant and proactive Information Security Analyst. This critical role is responsible for safeguarding the company's digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of its information systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies. You will be an integral part of our security operations team, working to protect our infrastructure from evolving cyber risks.
Monitor security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools, to identify and respond to security incidents. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network and systems. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards. Investigate security breaches and provide detailed incident response reports. Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees. Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices. Manage security-related projects and initiatives. Perform regular security audits and reviews to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Respond to security inquiries and provide technical guidance to other departments. Develop and maintain documentation for security procedures and systems. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or network security. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices. Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners. Proficiency in security risk assessment and incident response methodologies. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with cloud security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Experience in the financial services industry is advantageous.
