Role Purpose
Key Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and maintain advanced security solutions across network, system, and application layers to ensure scalability, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct in-depth security assessments and design reviews, embedding controls early in the development lifecycle and aligning with business and technical requirements.
Lead threat modeling, risk analysis, and vulnerability scanning efforts, translating findings into actionable mitigation strategies across diverse environments.
Establish and enforce secure coding standards and architectural best practices, driving system integrity and reducing exposure to threats.
Oversee incident response activities, including forensic investigations, containment, and recovery, while continuously improving response protocols.
Monitor threat intelligence and adapt defenses proactively, ensuring the organization remains resilient against emerging attack vectors.
Drive compliance initiatives, maintain documentation, support audits, and ensure alignment with internal policies and external frameworks.
Champion automation and scripting in security operations, enhancing detection, response, and operational efficiency across the security landscape.
Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience
Advanced understanding of core security principles, including the CIA triad, threat modeling, access control models, least privilege, non-repudiation, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Strong familiarity with global standards and regulations and their application to technical security controls.
Expertise in securing infrastructure and networks, including TCP/IP protocols, network segmentation, operating systems, and virtualized environments.
Proficient in application and cloud security, with hands-on experience in SSDLC practices, secure coding, SAST/DAST tools, , and cloud-native protection across cloud environments.
Solid grasp of cryptographic techniques, including encryption, hashing, PKI, and digital signatures for securing sensitive data in transit and at rest.
Well-versed in threat intelligence and incident response, capable of analyzing attack vectors, conducting forensic investigations, and executing response plans.
Skilled in automation and data analysis, using scripting languages and SIEM platforms to streamline operations, generate metrics, and support decision-making.
Effective communicator and strategic thinker, able to translate complex security concepts into business language, influence stakeholders, and adapt to evolving threats and technologies.
Qualification Required & Experience
Must have Technical / Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in cyber or information security, computer science, information technology (or systems) or other related fields.
5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or related field in cybersecurity, with a significant focus on hands-on technical security work.
Any of the certifications below will be desired;
CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSSLP, GCCC & CCNP Security
