Quality Control Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly visual, interactive, and layered Business Intelligence solutions using Business Objects (Lumira, Explorer, IDT, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Analysis for OLAP, Dashboards).

• Design, develop, document, and ensure quality assurance of enterprise-wide visualizations; educate users on visualization types.

• Gather business requirements from cross-functional teams; create reports and dashboards using data warehouses, marts, and underlying data stores.

• Provide support, training, and expertise to business users for effective BI utilization.

• Design test plans, define test cases, and create detailed test scripts; collaborate on test automation.

• Assist in development of HANA models.

• Develop and implement standards and guidelines.

• Perform analysis, design, technical specification writing, configuration, and programming.

• Define security requirements for visualizations with system administrators.

• Collaborate with Data Warehouse and Architecture teams to define data requirements and best practices.

• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  Enterprise Architecture Responsibilities

• Support sales, assessment, and delivery across technology domains.

• Contribute to Business, Information, Data, Application, Infrastructure Architecture, and Technology Management.
  Quality Assurance & Testing Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test cases and scenarios based on business requirements.

• Ensure traceability between test cases and requirements.

• Execute Integration, Regression, and Performance testing.

• Record defects, report results, and collaborate for resolution.

• Conduct quality control reviews and recommend corrective actions.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and processes.

• Execute testing aligned with project timelines and procedures.

• Implement effective testing strategies to meet quality benchmarks.

• Improve quality systems through issue resolution and enhancements.

• Participate in Agile SDLC activities.

• Maintain documentation: Test Procedures, Traceability Metrics, SRDs, Problem Reports, User Guides.

• Design and execute UAT in collaboration with clients.

• Conduct end-user training.

• Provide post-implementation support.

  Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• 5–7 years of experience in software quality control and testing.

• Strong knowledge of testing principles, validation techniques, automation, and defect management.

• Excellent analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions.

• Strong business and technical understanding.

• Ability to gather information and share knowledge.

• Understanding of SDLC including planning, development, QA, and release management.
