Systems & Network Administrator

System Administration Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers. Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and file services. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of critical services. Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades. Administer virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V, and Failover Clustering). Network Administration Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi networks across campus. Configure and maintain network devices (switches, routers, firewalls). Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Ensure network security and access control. Manage VPN access for staff and remote users. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures (firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection). Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with university policies and relevant regulations. Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans. Infrastructure & Data Center Management Maintain data center operations including servers, storage, and backup systems. Cloud & Enterprise Systems Manage cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) where applicable. Support integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, LMS, and email systems. Monitoring & Performance Optimization Use monitoring tools to track system and network health. Ensure minimal downtime and rapid incident response. Support & Collaboration Provide second‑ and third‑level support for complex technical issues. Collaborate with User Support to resolve escalated cases. Work with service providers for support and maintenance. Documentation & Reporting Maintain detailed documentation of systems, networks, and configurations. Prepare technical reports and capacity planning forecasts. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Windows Server systems. Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching). Hands‑on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security. Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper‑V, and Failover Clustering). Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS). Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning. #J-18808-Ljbffr
