Job Summary
The Research & Development Systems Administrator will oversee all R&D computer systems within the laboratory environment. This role involves the administration of various informatics systems, including Empower CDS (Chromatography Data System), RAM (Regulatory Asset Management), isolated networks for standalone computerized systems, and additional computerized systems vital to Research and Development Laboratories.

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
Salary determinations will be based on experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support Empower CDS, Regulatory Asset Manager (RAM), isolated networks, the R&D ticketing system, and other computerized systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Manage account setups, ensuring effective data management through automated and manual backups, while maintaining a robust database system and supporting IT infrastructure.

  • Assist the Technical Team Lead with global Enterprise IT initiatives and system projects as needed.

  • Support local subnetwork infrastructure for standalone systems when required.

  • Manage software licensing for all R&D laboratories.

  • Maintain software-related service contracts for all R&D computer systems.

  • Coordinate with vendors for system maintenance and updates, ensuring validation compliance.

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of computer hardware, software, and licenses.

  • Oversee disaster recovery plans for all R&D software-driven systems.

  • Provide qualification and change control support for the installation, changes, and upgrades of computerized systems according to QA procedures.

  • Generate and maintain computerized system design specifications, handling them through the document management system as needed.

  • Support the R&D laboratories Data Integrity program by ensuring secure and compliant operation of computerized systems.

  • Continuously improve knowledge and expertise by engaging in ongoing training and participating in industry associations.

  • Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across the company to understand business needs and implement solutions effectively.

  • All employees are responsible for compliance with company documents, programs, and activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management in accordance with their roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technology/computer science, engineering, or a science-related field.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT-related field.

  • Strong technical expertise required for the installation of networking devices, operating systems, business applications, computer hardware, and peripherals.

  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and quality management systems is essential.

  • Strong understanding of industry regulatory standards, such as ISO 17025 and FDA requirements.

  • Preferred experience with Java and SQL.

  • Experience with system security is preferred.

  • Project management skills are preferred.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information to stakeholders effectively.
