Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems & Network Administrator. This role will act as a technical expert across systems administration, domain management, network engineering, and infrastructure advisory.
Key Responsibilities
Systems & Network Administration
Administer and maintain Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Servers
Manage enterprise network infrastructure including configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades
Support servers, NAS environments, lab networks, and client workstations
Maintain antivirus updates and system security compliance
Storage & Backup Management
App FAS systems
Maintain Network Attached Storage (NAS), including updates and troubleshooting
Perform archival backups and restore operations (including tape library systems)
Hardware & Infrastructure Engineering
Configure and support:
Cisco Catalyst switches
HP Aruba networking equipment
Mellanox/NVIDIA (Cumulus/NVue) solutions
Design and implement complex network architectures
Configure forensic workstations and specialized hardware
User & System Support
Create and manage domain users and permissions
Analyze user needs and implement system enhancements
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and collaborate with forensic examiners
Documentation & Compliance
Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and network diagrams
Track software licenses, renewals, and hardware lifecycle
Ensure system integrity for potential legal proceedings (court testimony readiness)
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in:
Systems Administration
Network Engineering
Enterprise Infrastructure Support
Hands-on expertise with:
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
Cisco / Aruba / Mellanox networking
NAS and enterprise storage systems
Experience with Lenovo Think
System / Net
App FAS storage
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
Experience working in large enterprise environments (1000+ users)
Prior experience with government projects
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with TrueNAS
Experience with system testing and performance tools
Strong project management skills in technical environments
Experience with:
Tape backup systems
Forensic lab environments (nice to have)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to create detailed system documentation and network maps
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in:
Computer Information Systems
Information Technology
Or a related field
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work flexible hours (including nights/weekends if needed)
Must work onsite (no remote option)
Ability to support legal processes, including potential court testimony
