On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Junior Systems Administrator, Linux for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3-4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Junior Systems Administrator, Linux - Job Description:

The project involves end-to-end development and sustaining infrastructure to deliver metrics and reports to over 20,000 users. The role aims to strengthen the governance model to mitigate operational risks and provide superior production support.

Junior Systems Administrator, Linux - Responsibilities:

• Become a subject matter expert on existing infrastructure and associated tools

• Lead and enhance existing production processes

• Establish thorough business and technical understanding of existing reports

• Provide timely delivery of reports and communicate any potential impacts and delays to stakeholders

• Conduct thorough investigations, identify the cause of any production issues, and resolve them independently

• Identify opportunities to eliminate manual steps and optimize code performance

Junior Systems Administrator, Linux - Mandatory Skills:

• 2+ years of Linux administration

• Proficiency in Linux commands

• Experience with Python

• Shell scripting skills

• Database administration experience

• Quick learner who is eager to learn and share knowledge
