Junior Network Administrator (Chandigarh)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and maintain firewalls (Fortinet) to safeguard network infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL, Site-to-Site, Remote Access) for secure remote connectivity.
• Maintain and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents, outages, and performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor network traffic, logs, and alerts for proactive threat detection and response.
• Implement network security policies, access controls, and compliance measures.
• Perform regular network audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to design and enforce secure architecture.
• Ensure network redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery planning.
• Document configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Provide L2/L3 support for escalated network-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in network administration with a focus on firewall & VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Check Point, Sophos).
• Strong knowledge of VPN technologies, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), VLANs, NAT, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
• Proficiency in switching & routing (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Aruba).
• Experience with network monitoring tools (Solar

Winds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix).

• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP – VPN & firewall integration preferred).
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, etc.).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP (added advantage).
