Zachary Piper Solutions is a contractor in support of the federal government, specializing in cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance. This position is in support of a contract with the Department of Energy and the National Nuclear Security Agency OCIO. The NNSA has multiple offices and facilities across the United States, with its headquarters in Washington D.C. These offices and facilities are responsible for various aspects of nuclear security, including stockpile management, nonproliferation, and nuclear security.

The Network Engineer Tier 2 will design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructures to support organizational operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure the scalability and reliability of the network, while managing ongoing upgrades and security improvements.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructures.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, optimize, and ensure scalability and reliability of the network.

• Manage ongoing upgrades and security improvements.

• Provide excellent customer service and interpret client requests.

• Configure Cisco routers, switches, Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, and General Dynamics Taclanes/GEMOne.

• Analyze network traffic, perform vulnerability analysis, packet analysis, and systems hardening.

• Knowledge and use of layer 2 and layer 3 protocols, encryption protocols, communication protocols (TLS/SSL, IPsec, SSH, BGP, VLAN, LLDP, LACP, ARP, 802.1x, DNS, AES, NTP). Qualifications

• Active Top Secret or Q clearance.

• Experience with Cisco routers and switches (IOS/NX-OS).

• VPN/security experience.

• Proficiency in Windows, Unix/Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of network security, traffic analysis, incident response, vulnerability analysis, packet analysis, systems hardening.

• Ability to perform at Tier 2 and Tier 3 levels. Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: up to $150,000 base, direct-hire (higher for Tier 3).
