Job Description

Role Overview:
You will be a part of a diverse and high-performing team dedicated to technical excellence at American Airlines. Your main focus will be on delivering unrivaled digital products that drive a more reliable and profitable airline. As a member of the Network Domain team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance of the organization's networking infrastructure, ensuring efficient and secure data transmission between devices, systems, and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement network changes during appropriate change windows (after hours)
  • Create network changes as required by the ticketing system per incident
  • Perform Lifecycle Management (LCM) and Vulnerability Management functions
  • Identify proper escalations associated with incidents as they occur
  • Follow change and engineering standards documentation
  • Provide network triage for all network incidents
  • Serve as second-tier support for the network operations team when needed
  • Participate in on-call support escalation rotation
  • Act as a technical resource providing guidance and advice to the L1 Network Operations Team

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 1+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
  • 13 years of enterprise networking/IT industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki switches/routing
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, spanning tree protocols, QoS, VPN, NAT, DNS, multicast, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Experience troubleshooting firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet) and secure access solutions
  • Familiarity with public cloud networking (Azure preferred)
  • Basic Wi
