Job Summary
To build a B2B Platform that will transform how SMEs in the UAE buy, sell and grow. To build a marketplace for business which is verified, trusted and digital where companies can find reliable suppliers, purchase in bulk, access financial service and manage procurement.
As the Product Owner, you will support the vision, development and launch of the financial services offering from day zero, working closely with engineering, design, data and operations to build intuitive and scalable digital workflows for SMEs across the UAE. This is a foundational product role that directly influences adoption, engagement and long-term multi verticality.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
The product manager is responsible,
To build a scalable multi-vendor B2B marketplace for SMEs to access financial services.
Will plan the strategic roadmap and will work to achieve the product vision by collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing).
Will own multiple financial services workflows for SMEs.
Build intuitive onboarding flows for SMEs to access regulated and unregulated financial services
Business
The product manager should,
Work towards translating business workflows into intuitive digital experiences and interact directly with the development team
Should leverage on customer discovery, usage data and seller feedback to drive product market fit.
Work with financial services partners to provide solutions for SMEs on the platform
Use data to measure funnel performance, platform utilization, customer satisfaction
Develop a deep understanding of SME behaviour
Identify and remove friction points across the supply and demand sides of the marketplace
Create new financial services products for SMEs
Prepare the marketplace for scalability for multi-vertical expansion and cross border initiatives
Work with Chief Commercial Officer to validate the products and features are aligned to business outcomes
Processes
People & Talent
The product manager will work closely with designers and developers to build the product. The product manager should have,
Deep understanding of SME lending and financial products
Experience building end-to-end product experiences
Ability to simplify complex ME B2B user journeys into clear, intuitive flows
Strong ability to work within a small team with high accountability and cross functionally across ops, engineering, design and external partners
Analytical mindset - able to interpret data, KPIs and funnels and drive decisions grounded in insight
Ability to operate in ambiguity and build from ground up with constrained resources
Comfortable running discovery, writing strong PRDs and managing iterative delivery cycles
Experience in the UAE or MENA region and familiarity with SME buying behaviour is strongly preferred
Understanding of APIs, integrations and platform thinking is beneficial.
8+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B, procurement, marketplaces or e-commerce
Track record of building or scaling multi-sided platforms or B2B SaaS tools
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer centric mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Experience working with lean teams in a fast-paced environments
