The Senior Equipment Consultant/Project Manager position requires a minimum of five years of very successful work experience in the healthcare planning industry, specifically medical equipment planning and procurement. This position requires extensive interface with a variety of internal and external project team members, including executive level clients, hospital personnel, program managers, architectural firms, engineering firms and general contractors. Additionally, the position requires the willingness and ability to mentor and lead team members.
The ability to read and understand architectural space allocation programs as well as architectural drawings of all levels – schematic to “As Built” Construction Documents is required. Individual must be knowledgeable about a wide range of medical equipment technology and must be able to discuss equipment technology with executive level personnel on a consultative level. Clinical expertise is a plus. Understanding procurement, funding processes and prior experience communicating and working with various group purchasing organizations and financial institutions is required. The ability and willingness to travel anywhere in the United States is required.
Individual must demonstrate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Excel, Explorer, Power
Point, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Acrobat and Internet resources. Must be able to learn, understand and efficiently use proprietary and/or custom software applications. Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong detail-orientation and the desire to accept additional responsibility. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills are required. Project Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility for a Senior Equipment Consultant/Project Manager is to perform equipment planning, procurement and project management activities on large and/or complex projects, as well as mentor less experienced Equipment Planners on smaller projects. The Equipment Planning, Procurement and Project Management activities may consist of, but are not limited to, successfully meeting project requirements and deadlines defined by the project schedule and agreed-upon Scope of Work. This position will likely perform duties associated with the functions listed below. The specific duties listed below are examples; this list is not meant to be all-inclusive.
GENERAL
» Maintain weekly time tracking in Harvest system and time sheet
» Lead in providing information to supervisor for preparing monthly project billing
» Maintenance of internal systems – Lead in project set-up, adding and maintaining equipment in master database, creating rooms in master database, etc.
» Verify accuracy of monthly billing for all Criterion Project Team Members
SALES, CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
» Maintain and further develop client relationships
» As requested, attend industry events, to network and represent the Company
» Exhibit professional demeanor and appearance while interacting with clients, Owners and business partners
» Exhibit outstanding customer service to internal team members and external clients and business partners
CONSULTATIVE RESOURCE FOR CLIENTS & PROJECT TEAMS
» Specifying and developing equipment and technical reports for projects
» Lead Criterion project teams on conducting facility assessments, inventories and evaluate existing equipment
» Lead team in making recommendations regarding items to be relocated, purchased new, leased, or re-manufactured
» Provide technical support to Criterion project teams in use of Attainia software and other applications during client meetings
» Lead in facilitating and conducting client meetings
» Conduct individual research, and attend conferences, seminars and trade shows, as needed, to learn and be informed on current and future products and technology
EQUIPMENT BUDGETING
» Lead project teams in preparing and communicating the preliminary conceptual budget
» Establish an initial equipment list and budget from a space program
» Prepare a room-by-room equipment budget from the space program or schematic drawings based upon templated rooms
» Obtain quotations from vendors for equipment associated with construction projects
» Lead the Criterion project team in managing the project budget by coordinating the equipment components and preparing recommendations based on clinical functionality and/or cost analysis
» Lead the planners in the “value engineering” process to prepare solutions for reduction of equipment budgets to support project financial goals
» Lead in maintaining and developing reports to help manage budget documents through project completion
ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS/
CAD/REVIT
TECHNOLOGY
» Coordinate the development of equipment families and equipment placement in REVIT with Criterion’s selected REVIT/BIM business partner(s)
» Lead in coordinating equipment placement on contract documents with the architect
» Lead in managing the equipment drawing process with design team (ex. internal red-line drawings)
» Provide AutoCAD backgrounds from projects to the vendors to coordinate Site-Specific Drawings
PROJECT PARTICIPATION
» Participate in project kick-off meetings
» Responsible for understanding and supporting project objectives, contracts, deliverables and deadlines
» Responsible for team collaboration and active communication to project leaders of issues and status of activities
» Support the project profitability objectives through efficient and effective completion of tasks
» Lead team in collecting and compiling pertinent project information so it remains current throughout the project (ex. schedules, backgrounds, deliverable dates, etc.)
MEETING PARTICIPATION
» Lead, participate in or facilitate user group meetings as requested to support phases of the project
» Participate in meetings, with other planners, and provide additional support in developing meeting minutes, technology and A/V support, distribution of materials, research and updates in Attainia, and electronic mark-up of documents during meetings
» Participate in design team coordination meetings during all phases of the project
» Lead in engineering coordination with the MEP team
» Exhibit professional demeanor and appearance while interacting with clients, Owners and business partners
VENDOR / BUSINESS PARTNER RELATIONS
» Lead Criterion Teams in coordination with vendors on equipment planning and procurement activities in all projects
» Lead in coordinating and participating in vendor presentations and conferences
» Lead Criterion teams in coordinating and specifying vendor cut sheets and technical specifications, design drawings, preliminary and final submittals for all equipment associated with the scope of the project
PROCUREMENT ASSISTANCE
» Support Criterion team in developing RFP’s as required by the client and/or funding institution
» Support Criterion team in providing RFP analysis and recommendations for manufacturer selections and equipment decisions
» Review purchase requisitions prior to submittal to the owner
» Input quoted pricing based upon the selected manufacturer into the project database
» Develop and provide purchase requisitions to purchasing department
» Review quotations for completeness
» Lead in developing procurement schedules for projects utilizing Attainia or other software applications
TRANSITION PLANNING / DELIVERY
» Lead in coordinating move schedule with vendor
» Lead in developing and maintaining the equipment delivery schedule
» Lead in coordinating delivery and receiving with Owner, healthcare distributors and manufacturers

Pay: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
