Gen AI Project Manager

Role Overview

The AI Project / Program Manager will own end-to-end delivery and governance of a portfolio of AI initiatives, with a strong focus on enterprise AI platforms and AI products. This role requires a rare blend of hands-on AI knowledge, product thinking, and strong program management, operating in highly regulated environments. The individual will work closely with senior leadership, engineering, data science, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure scalable, compliant, and value-driven AI outcomes.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Core Experience

• 7–10+ years of experience in Project / Program Management, with 3+ years leading AI or Data Science initiatives

• Proven experience delivering enterprise AI platforms or AI products, not just isolated models or POCs

• Strong exposure to regulated industries (within BFSI domain – Digital Channels domain experience with vendor focus on Retail Services / Omnichannel would be a definite advantage)

• Experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of Gen AI projects from ideation to production deployment & scale

Native AI & GenAI Proficiency

• Solid understanding of:

• Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Generative AI (LLMs, embeddings, RAG, Agentic AI, and frameworks like Lang

Chain, Llama

Index)

• MLOps / LLMOps (model lifecycle, CI/CD for AI, monitoring and cost management)

• Data foundations: data pipelines, feature stores, data quality, governance

Platforms & Architecture Awareness

• Experience with cloud-based AI stacks (Azure preferred, AWS, Google)

• Familiarity with AI platform components: model registry, orchestration, APIs, secrets access controls

• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and scalability concerns

Governance & Responsible AI

• Strong grasp of AI ethics, model risk management, explainability, and compliance requirements

• Experience implementing Responsible AI frameworks in production environments
