Onsite in San Diego, CA (Relocation support available)

$190K - $220K

About the Role

A global technology organization is seeking a Staff Project Manager to join its Integration Management Office (IMO) and lead large-scale, cross-functional M&A integrations.

This is a highly visible, senior-level role responsible for translating deal strategy into executable integration plans that protect business continuity and maximize transaction value. You'll operate at both the strategic and execution levels, partnering with senior leadership and functional teams across the organization.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced M&A integration leaders who thrive in fast-paced, complex environments and want broad exposure across the full deal lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Program Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead end-to-end integration planning and execution across multiple concurrent transactions

  • Translate deal rationale, synergies, and value drivers into actionable integration strategies

  • Define Day 1 readiness plans and post-close integration roadmaps

  • Align priorities, KPIs, and success metrics with executive stakeholders

Program Management & Governance

  • Establish integration governance, decision frameworks, and operating cadence

  • Drive execution across 20+ cross-functional workstreams (e.g., Legal, HR, IT, Finance)

  • Build and maintain detailed integration plans, dashboards, and executive reporting

  • Identify risks early and lead structured issue resolution

M&A Lifecycle Execution

  • Support diligence activities including data room coordination and functional assessments

  • Partner with deal teams to evaluate go/no-go decisions

  • Lead Day 1 readiness, including employee experience, communications, and operational continuity

  • Guide post-close integration through stabilization and long-term transition (including TSAs)

Stakeholder & Change Management

  • Serve as a central point of coordination across business units and acquired entities

  • Lead integration forums, executive updates, and cross-functional alignment sessions

  • Partner with HR, Communications, Finance, and Legal on change and communication strategies

Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Support synergy tracking and integration budget management

  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, cost tracking, and approvals

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance integration playbooks, tools, and best practices

  • Introduce scalable and data-driven (including AI-enabled) approaches to integration

  • Capture lessons learned and drive improvements across future transactions

  • Structured, analytical thinker with sound business judgment

  • Comfortable influencing without authority in global, matrixed environments

  • Highly autonomous, adaptable, and able to move quickly across priorities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
    (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Hands-on experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures

  • Direct involvement in M&A diligence, Day 1 readiness, and/or post-close integration

  • Experience working within an Integration Management Office (IMO) or similar function

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8-12+ years of M&A integration experience in consulting or industry

  • Background in consulting (e.g., Big 4 / strategy firms) or large global enterprises

  • Experience in technology or highly matrixed, global organizations

  • Exposure to finance, operations, or go-to-market functions

  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA)
