Construction Project Manager - Commercial Buildings

We are seeking a seasoned and highly capable Construction Project Manager to lead significant commercial building projects. This is an on-site position requiring dedicated presence at project locations. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in construction management, contract negotiation, and team leadership will be essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to completion and handover. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and manage them effectively. Select and manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with contracts and performance standards. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance. Ensure adherence to all building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and daily reports. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues and delays. Manage project finances, including cost control, invoicing, and payments. Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Conduct post-project evaluations and identify lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a strong portfolio of commercial building projects. Proven experience in managing complex construction projects from start to finish. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes. Strong understanding of contract negotiation, bid management, and procurement processes. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore). Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing site safety programs. Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
